Near Atlanta, GA. Many people gather in a parking lot of a restaraunt called Pit Row.(A Nascar theme bar/restaraunt.) Although not too much street racing goes on there, people do hook up to run at a later date. The crowds get so big some times that the train of cars to the race would give it away. Most of the time they run off in private or they do it at the track---Time slips don't lie. Lots of nitrous babies running around there too. Friday and Saturday nights till late all year round. If not there, check the Auto Zone 2 miles South of Pit Row on Lawrenceville Hwy.

Hi, I'm from Portland Oregon, and the street scene here is mostly teenagers, with shity import cars. What we really need is some more bad-ass pro-street CHEVY'S. Racing usually takes place on Airport Way, on most Friday and Saturday nights. The people meet in Home Base's parking lot, on 122nd and Halsey st. The cop's are heavy through here, and the racing is interrupted by the PIG'S on most occasions. Usually no tickets are issued they just run everyone off.

Portland,Oregon PartII This last weekend I was at "Home Base" and there was probably about 50-60 cars in the parking lot. Again there were a lot of imports but most were muscle cars. the racing on Airport Way lasted about a half-hour before the cop's came. The baddest car in town is my buddies 64 Chevelle PRO-STREET. If your in town we love to race, I drive a 55 CHEVY PRO-STREET(SMOK-M) and were out most every Friday and Saturday nights. Well I'll talk to you guys later, and until we meet keep it straight, and lauch it hard.

In Chicago, IL. there are several places to show 'em and run 'em. One good show place is the Frosted Mug in Alsip, Illinois. It's fashioned after an A&W Root Beer stand and boy it packs 'em in on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I can't wait until next summer to see what radical rides come out to show-n-go!!

I'm from Dallas, Texas. I was into street racing a couple of years ago until I received a $300.00 drag racing ticket. I hired an attorney and it was dismissed but since, I've been racing at the Texas Motorplex. It's the "World's Fastest Dragstrip" as of today. Cory Mac drove 321 mph in the quarter in his Top Fuel Dragster today.

Anyways, about street racing... It happens on Loop 12 between Interstate 35 and Highway 114. A spectator was run over and killed several months ago so cops have slowed things down. Cruzin is always legal, just don't smokim.......

I need some estimate prices on this car! It was black with a small spoiler on the back, black tinted windows, the car had been lowered (for handling) 2 inches with 1 and1/4 inch leaf springs and nylon bushings. The rear end was a Ford 9 inch which had been geared 318. The wheel base had been widened to 17 inches with m & w racing, alluminum alloy,5-star routered mags, and good-year, low profile, 14x70 inch tires, attached. The engine was a high-output 5 liter 302 cubic inch motor which had been bored 30 over. The engine had alluminum heads, hooker headers, flow master mufflers, an extra air-intake in the front spoiler and a 5-stage high performance cumputer enhancement.

Whats up Partners in Crime? Cruising is still really big in the Chicagoland area. Strat's (right off of Manheim and Irving Park road) is one of the best places to hang out. We've got everything from pro street to hot imports. Augustino's (by Randhurst mall) is another hot spot. Great smoke shows there. Devil Dogs (Sat) and Frankly Yours (Fri) are great places to hang out if you are in the Schaumburg area. Great quality street and show cars at both joints. As for racing...We just look for the nearest industrial park...Ken Adams (79 455 Trans Am)

Where I live(Southwest Virginia) there are a lot of nice rides! I'm in the process of building my own. A '79 Camaro, 350 w/Edelbrock Torker and four barrel Holley. Also turbo-350 trannie. The cops don't really pay attention to the "cruisers" in town because there are simply too many. I'm hoping to have one of the nicer rides when I get my car fixed. Silver with black stripes on the side and the Z-28 scoop will be black as well.

Where are all of the folks in Atlanta Hiding/Hanging out at. The scene used to be pretty big in Tucker and down at Moreland Avenue, but aside from that noone comes out to play and/or talk shit anymore. We used to meet up on Friday and Saturday night at Auto Zone right before you get to Tucker off of Lawrenceville Hwy. ut people disappeared. I would like to know where some close-by cruising areas are where the big boys play. It has to be close--The motor I have is 13:1 and the gas is not cheap and the fuel cell is not big enough.

Update In Atlanta.....It seems that people are starting to gather again in Tucker---Pit Row is closed, but their parking lot is not! This evening we met up at Auto Zone and there were a few quick cars there. One of them is a Nice little Nova who is in the mid to low 5's in the 8th. A couple of other cars were there that used to be small block cars, but now support the big block. And they used to ask ME why I would want a big block. That is funny. Tomorrow we shall travel to Eatonton Drag Strip to witness a few races---These are street cars---But we won't see them lining up on the street. Hopefully the crowds will build up again at Auto Zone like they used to: 75-100 cars every Friday and Saturday night wasn't an unusual thing. As spring approaches, people should come out more and also as people fix their broken nitrous motors and get them running, the shit-speak should start occuring and then we may settle some grudges. Auto Zone is on the left heading outside the perimeter on Lawrenceville Highway.

Just wondering if anyone knows about the street scene in the Fort Smith, Arkansas area. I have heard of a few places but have yet to find a race. There are a bunch of cars around here including a 71 Chevy pickup with a nitrous fed small block, a early 80's Malibu, and some newer Camaros. I have a 70 Chevy truck that I plan to get going when I win the lottery (ha ha). If anyone has any info please let me know. Thanks.

Athough not much is happening out here in the suburbs of Chicago now, in a few months things will get rollin again. The Northwest Suburbs are becoming more popular for both cruising and racing. I am the prowd owner of a 79 Trans Am powered by a built 455. The car still looks stock,(Now if I can only cover up that damn lope at idle). She in the Garage now, covered safe and sound. By March people will be brining their cars out to Strat's (Manheim and 355 and Irving Park) and Augustinos (bloomingdale). Dog & Suds and Frankly Yours (Schaumburg) along with Devil Dogs (Schaumburg) will be the places to be next summer. I just cant wait to fire up the TA.

In Brainerd GA/TN(It's so close that it's hard to tell which state it is in---From The GA Site you get off at exit 142--Fort Oglethorpe I believe, turn left, go under bridge, first street on right(between gas stations) turn right. Track will be down 1/2-3/4 mile on left. It's right next to I-75)

They have this Street Car shootout the first Sunday of every month---This was the first one of this year. Two classes---Outlaw and 7.50 index. This is an eighth mile track with plenty of room to slow down. In the outlaw class, the best time I saw was a 5.23. I saw several people go faster than 7.50 and only one person who nailed it on the money. Anyway, they have a totally heads up day of racing---Which is the way it ought to be especially on the street cars. The 7.50 index cars are kind of close to bracket racing, but not neccessarily so. Anyone can go in that class--THey may not win, but they can. There was a nice turnout today although it was a bit chilly, but the sun held out. One of the quicker cars there in the outlaw class lost it's footing near the big end and took the nose into the wall.(unrecoverable error) That was the only major accident--Except for the numerous nitrous explosions, broken rear ends, and Transmission breaks. All of these cars were bottle fed. SO if you decide to come sout---Don't forget your bottle, and your tow vehicle, cause when you start mixing fast cars with a cash payout, you will push it as far and as hard as it will go in hopes of winning that race and taking that cash.

BTW....The largest Cube there was a 468 that they announced. Next month people will definitely step up--Especially since the Outlaw payout was 3000.00 in prize money with bonuses paid to fastest qualifier in each class.

Yea, im from Austin, texas and all the street racers meet up at Super Shops on Friday and Saturday night around midnight. Ive only lived here about a month, but that seems to be where the action is. The cops are the same as everywhere else, they stake out around the Super shop parking lot waiting for some dumbass to fry the meats. The fastest things i have seen so far are some GMC cylcones that have been tricked out and run in the low 12's high 11's. Besides that everyone goes up there to B.S. Some weekends everyone runs up to temple dragway. Im from Dallas, and every since that guy got killed last summer, cops have been thick. Swan(over on i-30 and loop 12) is shut down, So is Dowdy Ferry, and no more cruising on Galloway. Cops put up no cruising signs. So it kinda sucks up in East Dallas. If anyone can update me on the Dallas scene, or Austin scene let me know. Matt email- 2-FAST-4-U@mail.utexas.edu

we are from St.louis and race on south linbergh and highway 370. the police around here are not too bad but, you do have to watch out for them. of course the baddest cars are ours. we have a '85 camaro with a 383 stroker, a '84 mustang with a built 302 in it, a 71 chevelle with a 406, and a 71 nova with a 350. Of course these aren't the fastest or the best cars around here but, we like to think they are. There are alot of big boys around here running 10's and 9's on the street so there is a great variety of competion for everyone. Thanks for having a great page for the sport we all love. I am from Fort Worth and the street racing takes place off 820 at a industrial park that is located off of the Blue Mound exit. Get off of the highway and ake a left under the bridge and take the next right after the train tracks. You will see around 150 cars on a good night. Also, when this gets "busted" everyone drives back to the Shell gas station located next to the Motorola building. The cars range from a few nine second rides to the normal fifteen second rides. I have a 67 Mustang GT Fastback, black with Weld Prostars. It runs oh, well, you kind find out. In College Station where I go to school, the street racing takes place on Wednesday nights. Everyone meets at Compass Bank off of Texas Ave around 10:00. The street racing in Dallas is just like the other people here have described although it is getting built back up like it used to be. hi, my name is jessika. I live in Southern California. I used to have a 71 nova(it was prettier than fast, and it wasnt that pretty) it won me a few races. then i built a 65 el camino, it ran 11.80's on the unit. i just sold it for a daily driver, a 76 chevy 3/4 ton p/u. its cool. We race in the San fernando Valley, Ventura County(camarillo) and in Compton, sometimes it spreads elsewhere but not often. we have had some nice/fast cars come and go, but normally it is 12 sec and slower cars that race. if your ever in southern california, stop by De Soto and Roscoe, on friday nights, Crusiers Car wash on Tuesdays, and in front of the del taco in camarillo(off the Las Posas Rd & the 101)on saturdays. this last 4 months the cops have BEEN REALLY BAD impounding shit left and right. i got my nova impounded, but i got it back for free cause im a cute chicky.. =) but this last like 2 weeks we have been racing like crazy, cause it hasnt been raining and the cops have let up again. normally they let up around the summer time anyways... well if ya wanna know more, or you want better directions OR if you know me and you wanna say hi... email me FASTEST66 later all BOWTIE POWER

Yo race car, The south phillie race scene is where it's at, execpt when the man show's up. The problem is definitly spector's. people don't know how to park, where to stand and they waste time, valuable street racing time. basicly if you aren't going to run get off the line because I want to run my hot blue 5.7 Camaro. If you want to see street racing and not participate get out of our way. it takes about a half hour to make a run because that pretty boy wants to show off his tint and wheels and backs things up. I'm sure you feel the same way when your tring to run and your rides overheating. does any of this make sense? your's truly Papa Smurf P.S. if you run into a blue 83 berlinetta with 5" super trapps and cragar ss's that's me. I'll run.

The street racing in Philadelphia is great !!! On Saturday and sunday nights there about 400 - 500 cars in North East Philly ( at the Sports Authority Parking lot on Rt. 1 and Red Lion Rd. ) and a couple hundred more down in south Philly racing at Holstein Ave. ( Off I - 95, Bartrum Ave. Exit.) and a couple hundred cars racing at the Meadows ( Castor Ave and Deleware Ave. ) during the summer. They race pretty much all night both days, starting at around 9:30 to 10 pm. When the cops bust up Holstein ave. everyone goes up to Front St. to race !! Check out my web page at http://www.voicenet.com/~matt275 . It's called Philly's Automotive Homepage. There's alot of pictures in the Photo Gallery of the street racing here and a page with all the locations they race at. If anyone else has a street racing web site please leave me some email with the URL so I can check it out!! Thanks,

Matt

San Jose,CA!!! The weekly scene is at the Wienerschnitzel on El Camino just off San Thomas Expr. starts at 9pm Sat night, then cruise up to the Chevron at McCarthy rd and Montague. If the cops are hangin there, take McCarthy to Fremont go over 237 and hang at the Great Mall, In out Burger. Mostly American but you get the shitty imports (Wolf Pack usually 40-50 buzzboxes that couldn't leave a light if they walked away from it). Usually we get upwards of 200 cars, you make the grudge and take it out to Bailey's (take 101S to Bernal rd, mk lft on Santa Theresa, and right on Bailey's) but there are a lot of private areas. Just look for me in a '65 Stang (347 Crawford, Weiand tunnel, 175 NOS, ladder/coilover). Later.

Hello from Waco, Texas. Cruzin is heavy on weekends on Valley Mills Drive. Street racing has declined due to the recent opening of an outlaw race track 20 min. away. People take it out there. You can stage and leave on the lights, and peolple can't jump because they red light. No timing equipment and we like it that way. Win light at the end. Make no mistake though, the heavy hitters around here are all ugly ass Mopars. Hemis and 440 Six Paks stomp the shit out of us. Bottles don't help. Chevy brothers beware, 9 second Mopars are the rule out here.

Around here we go out into the country to a street we call the "paved road" because it is the smoothest, straightest, longest road in the area. We don't get all organized, if we see somebody to race we tell them to go out to the paved road. We've had all kinds of cars out there, Horizons, Camaros, Chevelles, Probes, T/A's, Blazers, Jeeps, Comets...etc. We're just a buch of teens who like to go fast, but hate the cops. CATCH US IF YOU CAN PIGS!!!

colorado springs has died as far as street racing goes. we used to race every friday and saturday night. a lot of money changed hands. cars started going too fast for a lot of people. over the winter the import guys organized some sunday night races for what they called "bragging rights". what kind of shit is that! we showed up with some american iron and gave them over five car lenghts for cash, after seeing what true hp is all about they don't have there street races anymore. if anyone knows about street racing in southern colorado look us up, fart cars are boring.

i'm 18 years old and have been rebuilding a '67 chevy II for about a year now. it's an SS 327 with power front disk brakes. i think i've got her up to 350 hps or so. 3.73 rear end and a muncie m20 four speed. she's not running right now though, i blew \ a head gasget and haven't gotten around to replace it. oh, by the way, i'm from chicago. there's a strip by my house called "dodie road" it runs through some land fills and railroads. it's a really sweet place to run. start and finish lines marked out and everything. the only problem is that a lot of gang bangers go with their "ghettofied" 5.0's. there's also a drive up called "blue tops" in lansing indiana (five minutes away from me) all the cars who are anything go there. alot pull in on trailers which to me, defeats the whole purpose of a "DRIVE in" not "get hauled in". but anyway, to all the not so experienced and financially limited car inthusiasts like myself, keep on dreaming for those 10 second runs!

i don't know what kind of air they have in griwold, iowa, but running 9's with a 440 and a 2500 stall coverter just ain't going to happen. maybe your not marking off enough rows of corn. we run 1/4 mile on the street and the track. it takes more than 350hp to run in the nines. nitrous belongs in the motor not in your lungs.

The local scene in Vacaville, CA is pretty cool but it's been tough running lately since some moron in a Mustang rolled his car and then reported it stolen the next day.... The cops have kind of cracked down on the Hay Road drags. I currently run a high 11 second 4th generation Camaro... Practically everybody in this town is scared of the thing and it's the car to beat (SMALL TOWN!!!) Not too long agoI smoked a couple of high school kids with cars they had built and then the Hay Road drags went from a handful of people showing up on Saturday night to a whole highschool full of kids showing up at the drags to mostly watch.... The kids out there are getting too rambunctious and are getting the cops called all the time (bringing out Mom's minivan and doing burnouts up and down the road with it) The bottom line is is that if the children don't learn how to act the big boys with the REAL cars will go elsewhere to race.... Keep the spectators to a minimum and stop bringing your 15 or 20 girlfriends that are laughing and giggling and shit and keep them the fuck at home.... If they act cool they can show up... Street racing ain't a frigging game... When two REAL 11 and 12 second cars are racing the stuff is SERIOUS SHIT... One thing goes wrong with these cars and people can die... I love Street Racing don't get me wrong, but if the people that aren't participating don't act serious then the street drags will relocate to a place where that interference isn't present.... IF YOU READ THIS AND YOU'RE FROM VACAVILLE, CA and this description fits you, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE>>>>>>>> IF YOU COME TO RUN THEN RUN, BUT IF YOU WANT A FRIGGING HOUSEPARTY THEN STAY AT HOME!!!!!!! Whew, I needed to get that off my chest... Meanwhile the new drags are taking place at Lambee road off Highway 12 near Suisun.. Haven't actually been there yet but I hear the races went on for 4 hours with no police presence at all.... And there were 9 and 10 second trailered machines showing up from places as far as 100 miles away!!!! Lata, OUTLAWZ28

Hello all, Typing to yall from Houston, Tx. Street Racing down here really kicks ass. Lots of big money around. The kickin' place now is Spikewood over by the ship-channell. Trailer cars galore, these people don't play no games. Very serious mood when it comes to money time. The kiddies with there mommas Hondas stay away, they don't even try to come out to challenge.

IM Dodjie Aguila, Im from Manila, Philippines and I own and drive one of the fastest and quickest VW beetle in this country. In street tires, the car is capable of 12 second passes in the quarter. We also have problems with cops, since they are corrupt, we can take care of it easily. The Japanese cars are getting faster and I should always make use of modern tech and hardware for my VW.

Yea, I live in a small town in Ga and we race every friday and saturday night. I drive a 91' Stang with a pretty souped up engine, I have a Cran cam, 1:72 roller rockers with performance lifters and pistons the block is bored 30 over and I have underdrive pulleys and a hypertech chip. I really need a rear end (3:73) but I am driving on maypop tires ( may pop now or later) so I cant do any burn outs. Last saturday a Taho yes a Taho wanted to run. He started patting his hood and revving up I started laughing a said " Cute" This really pissed him off so he said lets go. Well we went out to the 1/4 mile marker and he got out and said what you wanna bet. I was thinking this guy is nuts I said I will give you a full car length and I will spin for $200 and he said how bout $400 I said "Damn I hate to take your money but its your lost". We lined them up to go and he said on my third brake light go. 1...2..and we were off I came up beside him and let off and punched it again and still beat him about 2 car lenghts he got out and was pissed off saying lets go again I got some NOS for your ass and I said naw I gotta spend some money and he paid up. As we were leaving he did a helluva burn out and I was on down the road when I saw blue lights and they oviously got him because I pulled off and waited for him and he never came so I went and saw him later and just revved up and patted my hood.

Hey we need to get some street racing together in the Denver metro area. I've looked for places where street racing is alive but I can't find any. Most everybody with anything (muscle cars, no jap crap) drags at Bandimere or PMI in Pueblo (including me). If you want to get something together or know of some street racing in Denver or Colorado Springs email me meanstang25@hotmail.com I got a Chevy pickup and a 64.5 stang both run 13's (no nitro or supercharger) and want to drag for cash instead of paying to do it at the track.

Belleville, IL. Western Auto on West Main. Cops let everyone hang out with no problems. Several good street racing locations. Lots of 12-14 second cars, but if your serious, and want to race for some cash, bring something in the single digits. Have seen some races with lights in the sky. High eights on the street at over 150 is no crap. Bad cars around are a 68 Red Camaro with 500+ inches with nitrous, and a 65 pickup with a blower and injection. Both are street legal, and run in the 8s.

I can't get over the "shitty import" attitude. 1/2 of you damn hicks can't even spell shitty correctly. My shitty import runs a 14.1 on street tires @ 101 mph with $50 invested. May not be fast to many of you, but you can't beat the bang for the buck. And...it's a FWD. I know I'm not the fastest one of the bunch, but I do take pride in tearing up a stock/mild modified muscle head. Do the math people.

P.S. NOS is for pussies.

I live in St. Paul,MN. People usually go racing at a place galled Red rock. There are all sorts of cars. There is this one '93 (nos)honda civic hatchback that beats everybody. He beats vipers, supras, and Syclones all the time. The cops don't come around much. All we race for is bragging right, although sometimes people race for money. When the gangmembers(racers) lose there are usually fights, sometimes shootouts, then everyone leaves, because they are scared of cops.

I don't know why you guys rip on imports. They have half the displacement ratio and is FWD, but the still run 11's-9's. So I think you guys that drive muscle cars should be embarassed when an import can beat you or keep up to you. So you guys should not talk shit. I have a street legal Toyota camry that runs an 8.62 e.t. w/157mph. That's with a full interior and street tires too. Four and six cylinder imports are kickin' the shit out of vipers, camaros, mustangs, syclones, and more at where I live. St. Paul, MN, IMPORT WORLD!!! Oh, I forgot to mention my other ride, a 11-second Honda Civic HB.Better recognize.

If you are in the Houston area, check out the racing in front of GardenRidge Pottery(I-45@Airtex). I've seen some of the best street races there. Beware of the Mustangs from Martin Motion, I've seen Charlie( and crew) send big block cars home to their mommies!! If you own a street stang stop by, and talk to Charlie 713 690-FORD. Whether you want to run a blower, or gas he knows the right combo.

If you are at Airtex, you might see a bunch of thug looking guys with big exhaust pipes on there mothers 4-banger. They are all from a local rice factory called Apex. Now you may be approached by them, but dont worry. Run there fastest car for as much money as you can. It may have alot of stickers on it, and a 20-point roll cage inside, but it will break. I personally watched the owner of Apex, hand over hundreds of dollars to the winners!!

My name is Crystal Grundstrom. I live in King George. We have groups here and there. The ones I hang out with have some cool cars though. Two guys, John Wray and Ernie have thunderbirds with 350 engines in them. A guy, Jesse, has a '57 ford pickup with 352 engine. A guy , Mike, has a '92 white 5.0 mustang. And his friend Mike, has a '87 red chevy blazar. The three best cars in this county I believe are one, '86 black camaro with 350 engine T-top and an excellent sound system in it (owned by Chuck) Two, '70 Teal SS Chevelle with 396 engine (owned by Donald Ray) Last but not least, '69 or '70 Yellow Dodge Duster also with a 350 engine (owned by Robert) We all usually hang out. We race each other sometimes. Sometimes we see people from other counties come rollin' up thinking their all that and we have to say they're not. For example, maybe a week ago, a guy from our county, Stuart, which we all don't like very much was riding around with another guy from a close by county, Cody. He owns a '87 blue chevy blazar, sorta like that guy mike's but a lot nicer. It's a royal blue with all chrome metal. A low rider with a sweet sound system too. Well they came by one of the places we all hang out and flicked us off. So we all got into the cars and caught up with him and we all raced, rubbed, pushed - however you want to put it. Needless to say we haven't seen him back yet. Usually every chance we get we race, power brake or whatever. Mostly sit around and work on the cars. The cops - well they don't usually do anything. Once in a while someone m-i-g-h-t get busted but its very unlikely since this is a very small town and everyone knows eachother. Mostly our motto with the cops is if they want me they're gonna have to catch me. well I guess that's about it. if someone can write back and tell me what you think. crysle@usa.net

About ten years ago around the Balt.-D.C. area there was a huge scene. V-STREET, Metro, Ardwick- Ardmore, the Hospital, Waldorf, Glen-burnie,Westminster and much more. It was phenominal. Whether you take pride in America or drive an import, just about eveyone has a fascination with FAST ASS CARS! Now here in the hills of Tennessee/North Carolina when money's tight for the young guys they tend to pipe up the honda's. But, when the domestics come out the have to race the Trucks to keep up. You can make anything fly if you're good, but there's nothing like good american horsepower! And there's always someone faster with more money. Rice burners get satisfaction to beating mild muscle; late-models want to beat old iron. And non-tubs agaisnt tubs, it will never end. We all just want to push the limits..We get more respect out of a Turbo 6 GN than out of 8 sec ten inch tire cars.It is definately a plus to be daily driven to the limits. And for you imports you may run good but when see a 3600lb car carry the wheels on the street a/c on and stereo kickin, just think how's a boat like that do that with 25 mpg TOO! If you find yourself in the area. Check out Patton Ave.- Ashville N.C., Market St.- Johnson City TN., State St.- Bristol Tn., 11E - Greenville Tn., W. Elk Ave.- Elizabethton Tn. Watch out for the cars with SPEED on the windshields. Some you may beat, others, shall we say pack a lunch, you might have a little harder time!

A Honda was made to get you to work and back, without using a lot of gas. Then on the weekends you park it and pull out the American V-8 muscle car, and go out racing. So please don't cut the muffler off your Honda, and try to impress people with your 17-second four banger. Just because you are making a lot of noise doesn't mean that you are going fast. Don't cry about how your motor is half the size, that sounds like a personal problem to me. I watched a honda civic get beat in a parking lot, by a guy on foot! That is a true story from the streets of Houston. A warning to those Hondas that insist on racing, I will be looking for those ten inch exhaust pipes, and when I find one my stang will show you what racing is all about.

"If my import was an eight cylinder", what a sorry excuse.Exactly the statement that what one would expect from a moron who would even consider owning a Jap piece of shit. The economic mentality of todays youth amazes me. When are all you momma's boy's going to wake up and realize that every dollar given to Jap companies will never see it's way back into a hard working American's pocket. The mentality of people who own Jap shit,is usually an "I don't care"attitude. Jap shit cannot withstand the torture in a real racing enviornment.Have you ever seen a stock Jap motor live through a 500 mile race? Yea, me neither. So when all you Jap car motherfuckers start bragging about how good your piece of shit runs,I bet the only person who will be impressed is your mother, and that is only because it's her car your bragging about.

i'm not even from the states but i follow your racin quite closely. the import vs domestic debate is real wild. i agree that american muscle will kick a 4 bangers butt in a street/drag whatever race. there's no beatin' displacement. but don't start talking trash about imports because motors like the nissan skyline gt-r or the honda nsx will flat out kill domestics in stock trim and will murder you in modded format - and by modding i mean a simple chip. i guess it's time for domestics to pick on somebody your own size cos this v8 vs 1600cc is a laugh

Sure a stock NSX will take a stock mustang, lets do some math Compared dollar for dollar it is not even close! I would rather spend 20 grand on a new domestic, and put another 10 grand under the hood. What does that add up to 30 grand and ten second runs!!Even if you buy used cars, a fast import is out of the every day persons price range. So don't compare that import shit to the domestics! My stang will spank any old man driving his high dollar import shit, and I have less than 10 grand in my car. Think before you open your mouth, because you might end up looking stupid!! Hey, That Domestic Vs Import race held 2 August at Sacramento raceway was fixed. The only domestic car there that could of beat the RX7 was that blue supercharged Nova. It was the only domestic to run back to back 9's!!! Why did they let the pig javelin race the RX7 for the title? He never ran a nie at all. He had NO CHANCE. 4 VS 8? Simple math. Of course a v8 out of the box will kill a jap4!...in a straight line. So if your talking drag, bigger is generally better. You want handling, auto crossing etc. I don't think I'd trust a 'stang. But yes, in an enduro race, most domestics are stronger, but if you look at the average life span of a domestic vs an import, those jap 4bangers will run for 200k miles. It all depends on what you want. But this thread is for Street Racing right? So when I think of Street Racing, I think of daily driven cars, and most of us can't afford to have a car we drive everyday to work, and then another one to blaze on the weekend. So in this case, you can't deny that a 'honda' is a good balance of speed, reliability and handling. But hell, talk is cheap, this stupid discussion could be resolved in 10 seconds on the strip!

Tell em what you feel, I want to see more imports race domestics, not just one race. The Honda and Integra's got fucked up, and they were slow as shit. The fastest domestic car there was that Blue 1964 Chevy Nova SS. He was the one who could have beat that RX7. Have him race the RX7 for the title in November, not that lame ass Javelin.

This goes out to all you import loving, dick sucking, cum guzzling morons.you guys can talk all about your reliability, gas mileage, and what you fucking idiots call fast. I would fear for my life in those Jap tin cans.I happily climb into my Mustang knowing if I crash, odds are I will survive, probably unhurt.A crash in a Jap piece of shit at 10 mph, in some models result in serious injuries. Most Jap models in a crash 20 mph,and higher and faster almost always result in serious injury, or death.Once you stupid Jap motherfuckers let your true intellagence show every time you climb into one of those rolling death traps.DOT statistics show that sub-compact,and compact models of cars domestic, and import are in only 10% of all crashes. 50% of auto crash deaths in america are theb occupants of these same class cars. These stats are not invented by me, but real DOT data. You guys think you are smart, but you could easily be DEAD wrong!

I am from Melfort Saskatchewan Canada. You guys would be suprised at the amount of street racing that goes on in this neck of the woods!I go racing in Prince Albert,Saskatoon and in Melfort. The cars are very quick and very nice The cops let us away with alot because when we want to race we go a couple miles out of town on a straight strech of pavement and let er rip. There is lots of Chevys and Dodges but very few Fords. I race a 1965 Chevy truck with a 377 alum.heads and 4.88 gears I have run 13.6 at 100 with a dart headed 350 but i havent tried my new motor yet

To the smart guy with all the wonderfull DOT statistics.... Those are all wonderfull, but the real imports that are doing anything less than tens have at least a ten point cage in them by rules. So There Goes All Your Stats....HUH?

kinda ironic that the creator of one of the baddest domestics ever created the - boss mustang - was created by larry shinoda a so called jap or whatever other rascist terms that some of the idiots that submit to this page oh by the way he also tried his hand at the famous coke bottle vette shape which was mildly successful - and i bet there some guys from the states penning v-tecs - so let's get back 2 talkin' about racin ' and not slaggin cars you've never even seen or relating false dot stats

Hey you shit for brains Jap car loving ladies. The DOT stats cited are from USA Today,so fuck you,you stupid piece of shit.As far as Shinoda's home country, I personally don't give a shit. The fact that he played a part in the creation of some bad ass American cars impresses me greatly.I wonder why he didn't design anything for the Jap companies, probably because he knew that Jap cars are shit. A 10 sec. import? HA! there's no such thing IN closing I realize that I shuold create a gay magazine for import lovers. There would be plenty of material, since there's a ton of you Jap car homos out there.I'm sure you guys would love it. I will name the magazine "Dicksmoker", right up you moronic dick-sucking,cum drinking import loving slugs.

oh usa today - that great minefield of automobile info - why didn't you say so - since your argument has been so well structured u must obviously be right. kinda ironic that u're so obsessed with safety info on a street racin' page. tell me do german cars count as imports? and talking of fast cars why r u guys so obsessed with quarter mile performance let's run 3 or 4 miles and we'll see u get wasted

Import Vs domestic and see who is the baddest. Personally, I've never seen an import beat a domestic on the street. NEVER

I have. In my town, a NOS civic whooped the shit out of a Dodge Viper. I'm sure he'll do it again if you want to get smoked. A fully modified '95 Supra turbo also whooped a fully modified GMC Cyclone too, the cyclone was on the bottle too. What a waste of money. Com'on guys, 4's and 6's are beating v8's. What's wrong with you ford owners. At least the chevys are keeping up to them. Damn Hicks, don't you know hi-tech is always better than big blocks. 1/4 to 4 miles. It don't matter.

DAMN V8's, you wanna know why you always lose to imports? Because your damn heap of metal eats so much gas that when you rev you already wasted your tank of gas and can't even move any more. Get real, get import. V8's have been racing for over 40 years now and they still weigh a ton, shit. Learn how to evolve and get skinny and stop using so much gas,FOOLS!!!

HEY EVERBODY BACK IN THE STATES, IM IN THE AIR FORCE AND STATIONED ON OKINAWA, WERE THERE IS NOTHING BUT ILLEGAL RACING. WHY?, BECAUSE THERE AIN'T NO RACE TRACKS ON THE ISLAND, ITS TOO SMALL! BACK IN THE GOOD OLE USA I DROVE A '87 5.0 MUSTANG THAT RAN 12.50'S. NOW IM STUCK DRIVING RICE BURNERS. DONT THINK THE JAPANESE DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE HORSEPOWER, THEY DO. EVERYTHING OVERHERE IS TURBOCHARGED AND ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE SPRAYING THE BOTTLE ALSO. RIGHT NOW IM DRIVING A '88 NISSAN SKYLINE GTS, THEY DON'T SELL THESE CARS IN THE STATES, THEY ARE PRETTY COOL, CHECK THEM OUT ON THE INTERNET. I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE DEAL IS WITH HONDA'S BACK IN THE STATES, BECAUSE NO ONE MODIFIES THEM OVER HERE, NISSAN'S RULE THE STREET, THE SKYLINE IS THE CAR OF CHOICE AND THERE IS THE SILVIA'S (240 SX) AND THE 180SX (200 SX) AND OF COURSE THE FAIRLADY Z (300ZX). TOYOTA'S ARE PRETTY HOT OVER HERE ALSO. THERE IS A PLACE WE GO, DOWN BY THE PORT, THEY HAVE DRAG RACING , DRIFTING ( SLIDING YOUR CAR SIDEWAYS AROUND THE BLOCK , LIKE SPRINT CARS) AND THEY ALSO SET UP CONES AND DO SOME KIND OF DONUT CONTEST, ALL WITHIN A ONE BLOCK AREA. THE JAPANESE POLICE USUALLY BREAK UP THE ACTION ONCE OR TWICE A NIGHT. SO IF YOU ARE ON THE ISLAND GO DOWN TO ASHA, NEAR NAHA CITY. ANY QUESTIONS? E-MAIL ME AT MOODZNJAP@HOTMAIL

Help!!

The Seattle street racing scene is LAME!! I have been part of it since '92. The police have cracked down and now all anyone does is drive around aimlessly looking for action. Seems the imports have taken over at local spots and are more of a nuiscense rather than fun to watch or race. I understand Everett is a good spot out at Herfies but nothing consistent like before. Anyone in the Puget Sound area let me know where the action is. All that money in my car and my only place for competition is SIR. BOOOOO! E-mail is jpedranti@usa.net

The Fresno scene sucks. All there are is cops and those pretty boys in their Chevy trucks who think they are all bad then look stupid when they get their asses blown off the road by everyone else, even the little four bangers. And to a couple of those guys who wrote about how they don't like the "Turbo Hmongs" (no offense), learn how to spell you dumb fucks.

Hey what's up? All the good street racing in Houston Tx happins on Rankin rd. and I-45 the meet in the Gardenridge parking lot on Airtex rd. or at the The shell at the Chevron station on the corner of I-45 and rankin rd. There usually about a 100 cars and the racing is allways better on saturday than friday. The cars are mainly late models but there's always plenty of some good ol'muscle and even some roadsters and t-buckets most of all the cars run 14-12's but there are a few cars as fast as 9's but they usually show up on a trailer. If anyone has any more info on street racing in Texas please post it

In San Diego, we usually meet around 9 Pm Saturday at Dianne Plaza in Clairmanot Mesa and then progress over to the Burger King (a few miles away on the same street, Clairmont Mesa Blvd) until about midnight. There are several place we go to race. Kearny Mesa Rd, Sorrento Valley Rd Otay mesa Rd, Tidelands in National City and General Dynamics parking lot in Kearnt Mesa. The cops are all over so we usually cruise around until we find a deserted place.

If you wanna come into town, email me and we'll try to set something up. FASTNUF1@aol.com

I live in Carrollton Tx. It is suburb of Dallas about thirty minutes north of Dallas actually. Around here guys with the imports with the fart mufflers on them will try and take what they think they can beat at stoplights. I don't go out looking for races but every once in while someone will try and go with me. I drive a white Ford Ranger with dual exhaust, so you know what kind of racers these guys are if they go around picking on four cylinder Rangers. Although someday I'm sure they will be surprised. MIke, Carrollton
